How To Live Under An Unqualified President by John Piper

There isn’t any bias in the media of course, according to Ben Rhodes, they are all on the same page. Almost exactly the same page.

quote
Ben Rhodes was Obama’s Goebbels. A malicious creature dubbed the “Obama Whisperer” who took pride in his ability to manipulate the media.

But once you are attuned to the distinctive qualities of Rhodes’s voice — which is often laced with aggressive contempt for anyone or anything that stands in the president’s way — you can hear him everywhere.

Rhodes singled out a key example to me one day, laced with the brutal contempt that is a hallmark of his private utterances. “All these newspapers used to have foreign bureaus,” he said. “Now they don’t. They call us to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo. Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing.”

BTW the MSM is not reporting on Venezuela the leftist paradise which is methodically turning into a dictatorship as all leftist countries inevitably do. The nature of socialism is that it doesn’t work and then the government tries to hide this fact by grabbing more control and by suppressing dissent. In this country “the left” is in the very early stages of trying to suppress free speech by often labeling dissent as “hate speech” which justifies suppressing dissent. I used to think a free press was the antidote to free speech suppression until recently when i see this free press becoming a cheerleader for the left.

I wish I could have watched Fox News, while Obama was in office. Would Fox News have offered the same “objective” emphasize , which they are doing now - with Trump? Just wondering :exclamation:

I still like France 24 and the BBC. They really don’t have a big stake - in American politics. And they still report on what’s happening - in Washington. As well as, the rest of the world.

The Dems keep claiming Trump colluded with the Russians without having proof yet in actual fact we have signed export agreements for natural gas with India and Poland. These agreements while barely reported are potentially “yuge” because India has 20% of the world’s population and Poland buys NG from Russia and so is dependent on them. Selling NG to Poland undercuts Russian influence and may be a precursor to sales to other eastern European counties like the Ukraine which are dependent on Russia.

Has this been reported on the BBC & France 24?

Could be. But I don’t recall seeing it. I like France 24, because they spotlight, what’s happening in Africa. And the BBC, because they spotlight what’s happening in the world - not covered by American news media. Fox News will report, what’s important to America - from other countries.

P.S. I also don’t recall seeing this, in the supermarket tabloid headlines.

Isn’t Fox News being sued, for a false story?

And to give it balance, here is the Fox News response:

Notice that in practicing Zombie neutrality, I presented BOTH the NPR version, along with the Fox News response :exclamation:

Here’s a representative of the opposition to Trump. An eye opener.

A “thumps up”? First time I’ve heard that one! I’ve heard only of “a thumbs up.”

I will give a thumps up  to this fine article by Dilbert - well actually his creator Scott Adams:

Well, I say let’s give him four years and see what he can do - or not do. I will stay out, of the political realm. Unless he (or the Republicans) initiate something, that effects older Americans. And the AARP informs me of such. And I will continue to watch Fox News, CNN and the BBC - to see what’s going on.

“Thumps up”

I guess it’s got to be “thumps” to rhyme with “Trump’s”, eh? (or as you say in the U.S. “huh?”).

Just watch where you are going, as you give a “thumps up”.

We are growing ever and ever away from conservative values. The media and educational system are stacked, locked and loaded against conservatives. Every generation is going farther and farther away.

The Idea of brain washing is not without serious merit and it is a witchcraft that is hard to defend against. There will need to be those who will not bend the knee. They will be the ones that will silently stand against the opposition. Our strength is not in numbers but in God.

Yes Chad, there are extremists both in the left and the right. There are also moderates in both camps.

Here is a depiction of the Charlottesville, VA Turmoil. It includes short interviews with the Jew-Haters, members of the Ku Klux Klan,
and neo-Nazis.You will see confederate flags and Nazi symbols:

Violence arose between these extreme racists and those who protested against them. People were injured and killed. It was pretty ugly.

I don’t know if you’re statement is referring to politics but i have never ever seen anything in the USA like “the left” currently is composed. It is group think , they have a checklist and if even Democrats don’t subscribe to everything on the list they are booed off stages. Like a bunch of robots who are programmed to think alike and think they have the enlightened truth. To me it seems demonic or sick or both!

IN perspective - who cares about a few KKK and skinheads? The media does not cover KKK meetings but if they did they would see a handful of people. Even in larger rallies - they don’t make a blip on the political map. Can we really equate the miniscule numbers of white racists with almost the entire media, the big city political machines, the deep state, the corrupted educational system - all from the Leftists? Give me a break.

Racism is bad, period. Black LIves Matter is execrable but in FAR greater numbers than the KKK (which is also execrable but miniscule) - but the hatred spewed by the Left BLM movement gets what amounts to a thumps up.

As well, the ‘protesters’ came armed and ready for a fight. Both sides cause me dismay.

Yep & I agree, but the question is what happens when they do become the ruling group :open_mouth:

Yes you are right, and for the most part, the moderates tend to be more civilized… Or can I not use that phrase? :astonished:

Sounds like a good phrase to me.

I have tried not to think about it but censorship is a possibility. :imp:

Perhaps there’s no proof that Trump colluded with them, but there is plenty of evidence that Russia influenced the election:

There are many more sites, but my internet is slow as molasses tonight. However, you can get the other sites by googling “proof that russia influenced the election.”
