Free will and determinism and everything...

I got drunk tonight on cheap fizzy wine. And realized that sex is funny - which God made. Almost as funny as cats and humans, or cats and dogs.

God made the galaxies and knows if they will go to a big crunch, or separate forever, or when and if he will call a halt and make a new heaven
and a new earth. He may not know the motions of each of - is it 10 with eighty zeroes after it - electrons in the merely visible universe. But he knows the laws that he has made to govern galaxies and he knows the final result.

Likewise he knows the laws that govern man. He knows that we desire steadfast love. He may know the laws that govern free will. He knows that no man can refuse love forever. He may know when and which of us will decide against and then for him. But he knows that he has sworn by himself, that the word has gone out of his mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto him every knee shall bow, that every tongue shall swear. (Is 45:23).

My hope is that he will win, not by determinism, but by knowing the heart of man, which he made in his own image and likeness.
