The Heart of Freedom (Independence Day sermon)

Back in 2007 I wrote a sermon for the Christian Cadre which discusses the theological connection (and sad historical abuses) of orthodox trinitarian theism to freedom–hinting at universalism along the way.

Originally posted for July 4 (American Independence Day), I’ve reposted it each year since–including today.

Rather than reformat it for the EU boards, here’s a link to 2008’s edition (which I haven’t revised this year, being busy elsewhere.)

God’s hope to all our readers, around the world–on this day, and every day!

This year’s version is up a bit early:

Just a link to the last revision (2008), but I decided since there were some substantial comments back in 2009 (though not for the post, as it happened) I should link to the post-link every year, rather than directing back to 2008 every year. (The post has a link to 2009 and its comments, btw.)

I am almost sure that paragraph makes grammatic sense…

Anyway, happy ID4 weekend to all our visitors who might care anything about the Independence Day for the United States!

That time of year to bump the thread!
