Church of the Laundromat

On Saturday I went to the laundromat. I wasn't in 3 minutes before I met a homeless woman, Patricia, who was hungry and had no food. Threw my clothes in the wash and took her to get a filling lunch. She currently lives in her van. So we talked about finding housing and help with her pets. We talked about assistance and being open to help. Then we prayed together. I know God will help her with a place.

We returned to the parking lot to find her side door of her van opened. Everything she owned was in that van and not a single thing was missing. That after 30 minutes for lunch and prayer. She was astonished and then we blessed her van too.

While I was blessing the van a woman came up to me with tears in her eyes. I recognized Mary from the grocery store a couple months earlier. She let me finish the prayers and then told me how meaningful our prayers in the grocery store were and could we pray again. She was struggling with relationships, financial worries and some health issues. We did the deliverance prayer to help her. She hugged me and thanked me over and over. God is good.

I went on and switched the clothes from washer to the dryer. Before I finished loading, Mary had brought Jack over to me for a blessing. Jack had some generational issues so we did the prayer for breaking of generational bondage. And the deliverance prayer for him too. Between folding and packing up there were more prayers.

Church this day was held while wearing flip flops and a t shirt. This day we shared the Gospel several times over:
Luke 4:18-19 NIV

[18] “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, [19] to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
Matthew 25:37,40 NIV

[37] “Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? [40] “The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

And lastly remember to let nothing hold you back from doing God's Work, collar or no collar, in the midst of chores love may call to you. Let us be ready and open that we may respond, 'yes Lord, I am here, use me as you will'

Add Patricia, Mary, Jack and all those watching today that all may receive the good news and have hope for what is to come.

Help us Lord to be available and seek the opportunities to be your hands and your feet. Let us do so without judgement and help our hearts overflow with love that we may preach the Gospel with our actions. Thank you Lord, in Jesus' name, Amen +
