C.S. Lewis and Hierarchy

This will probably be my last post, due to changes taking place. But here goes.

I was wondering what C.S. Lewis meant by hierarchy, as I am having trouble finding some information on this topic. I read something he spoke of Envy and how it is resulted in someone claiming to be equal to another, and not accepting ones inferiority. I could have misinterpreted this badly. But the whole premise on the surface seems to be saying that some people by nature are inferior to others, and hate it. I think that there is something I have probably read out of context.
