Trinity and Monotheism on Quora

I came across this on Quora today. I thought folks might be interested, in reading through the various answers:

How can Christians be monotheists if they worship three persons dubbed as one God?

Does anyone have any favorite answers from Quora? If so, which ones?

Randy, you were ADORABLE in that little blue suit!

Randy, here’s the first thing I read on the site you provided:

Yes, this is a correct description of Trinitarianism. But this cannot be “true monotheism.” There is no place in the Bible where the word “God” denotes a compound Being consisting of three divine Persons.

Jesus Himself, described “true monotheism” when He addressed His Father in prayer as “the only true God”.

Jesus prayed:
And this is eternal life, that they know YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. (John 17:3)
