The universe came from nothing. It obeyed certain laws and popped into being.

  1. How can nothing obey something? If there was nothing, what something did this nothing obey?

  2. The laws of physics are something, not nothing.

  3. The temporal, material world may well have popped into being, but the non-material world of truth (including the truths of physics) is eternal.

  4. Truth exists only in minds. Truth is boundless, non-material, real, and eternal. Therefore there exists a boundless, non-material, real, eternal Mind.

Thanks Allan

"Truth is real, more real than rocks, and utterly indestructible. Truth is a wide sea, a wild fire, boundless, timeless, inexorable. All things that can exist, do exist, and must. All that is or was, all that ever will be, lies somewhere deep in the Lake of Fire.

Ancient dragons swim that dreadful sea. Servants of Fire revel and bathe in the whitest of heat, for this is their long home, their native abode. They speak, and eternal thought is made manifest. Their dread Lord rises on wings of light, breathing Fire. At his command, truths long hidden in the Deep are brought forth and made real. At his word, myriad worlds flash into being."

The laws of physics are based on symmetries which are based on mathematical necessity. That which is metaphysically necessary requires no outside source or grounding. Hence, the Higher Power didn’t create the physical universe. Neither are the laws grounded in it’s Mind. Mathematical truths are necessarily true. ex. 2+2=4. There’s nothing outside of this that makes it true. We can see this because if God didn’t exist then 2+2 would still equal 4. Necessary truths exist in all possible worlds. Hence, they need no further grounding.
